Get READYidaho!

The READYidaho.org Website was created by the Health Preparedness Program at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) to promote health preparedness for all-hazard emergencies in Idaho. Being prepared at the individual, family, and community level for public health emergencies is necessary even though your local, state, and federal governments prepare for and respond to health emergencies on the public’s behalf.

Who Needs this Website?

This Website provides practical up-to-date public health preparedness information for all Idahoans, including individuals, families, children, businesses, schools & communities, and special populations. READYidaho.org also provides links to other local, state, and federal Websites that provide additional resources.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness

The state of Idaho takes an all-hazards approach to emergency preparedness, but some disasters have the potential to be so severe and far-reaching that specific preparedness information is needed to supplement what is found on general emergency preparedness sites. IDHW’s Website PANFLUidaho.org provides public health preparedness information for an influenza pandemic and the Volunteer Idaho site provides an easy way for health professionals to register as a volunteer to help their communities during public health emergencies.
